There Must To Be More To Life Than This

The Magician's Greatest Pay

One of the greatest rewards for being a magician are the smiles, laughters and applause you get once you have entertain your audience truly. The picture here was taken at The Curve during one of my recent gig. This girl gave the nicest smile ever when she saw my magic.

Building Bridges Through Magic

Another fun thing about magic is that you get to meet different people; some down right nasty and some really really friendly. I met this group at Urbanattic, Capsquare. Nice people who just wants to have good fun. among them are two actors, Tony Eusoff and Jay.

The Watchmen

Watchmen watches what no one watches and does what no one does. They would lay down their lives watching and protecting. They stand guard over the people that needs them but do not want them. They take up responsibilities which otherwise no one would want. Do you want to be a watchman? "What does it matter..." you ask.

Mamma Mia! and an Award! (Oh, Mamma Mia!)

I have watched Mamma Mia!!! Woo hoo!!! The movie is so cool! I went with my whole family. My mother was practically singing the tunes to ABBA's songs throughout the movie. And there was this Indian lady beside me who loves ABBA so much she kept rocking the chair with her body and sang. The funny thing was she only knew the choruses to many of the songs. So during the verse she just hums haha. So cute.

This movie is a musical using ABBA's song. For those of you who adores ABBA, oh do please go and see. And for those who do not know who ABBA is, go and watch this movie and you will fall in love with this band! The movie musical revolves around a young girl who invites all three of her fathers to her wedding so just to find out which one is her real father.

Lots of comedy, romance, DANCE, SINGING!!! Love it to the max!

Anyone wants to follow me go watch again? I might go this Wednesday for the second round.

Planning to go for the actual musical in KL, but that is quite expensive though. See how first lo.

And guess what? My sweet friend Syen gave me an award for having the coolest blog hehe.

Sob sob...I want to thank my mum... My dad... They have always been there to support me throughout my blogging spree. Sob sob... I... What Kingdom?

Luke 17:20-21
Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

The Pharisees probably observed the moons and the stars to find out when would the kingdom of God arrive, or they could have been watching the times and politics to see whether would the kingdom of God arise from any political power. Whatever their question meant, Jesus told them that the kingdom of God was unlike any other kingdom they were familiar with. It is spiritual and internal rather than physical and external therefore its coming could not be observed.

What then is a kingdom?

A kingdom simply means a place where a king rules. Therefore the kingdom of God simply means wherever God reigns over the lives of His subjects. The kingdom of God is not visible because God is not visible. It is a spiritual kingdom and not a physical one.
The kingdom of God is where people declare their Kingship to the King of Kings and their Lordship to the Lord of Lords. They serve only one King which is God.

Jesus gave us, in the Lord’s Prayer, a petition to God: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” That shows the priority that Jesus gave to the kingdom of God. In the kingdom of God, everyone and everything is subject to God’s power, instantly, without any question. But in the physical world, there is resistance to God.

Wherever there are those who honor Jesus Christ, the King, there is the Kingdom of God.

If you are a Christian, and if you follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, you then have the Kingdom of God within you. Having been belonging to the Kingdom of God, I now realize that I should not be inferior to the physical kingdom that my physical body is living in. I know that the physical kingdom will perish but the spiritual one will not. From today onwards, I want to maintain the Kingdom of God within me. If there be any misconduct, I know that God will forgive if I repent and the kingdom of God will still be within me.

Having known this truth, we should not be afraid of the physical kingdom that is always shutting its doors to the Gospel. Know that you are the vessel God uses to share the Gospel to this physical kingdom and also to bring the Kingdom of God into the people who now lives in the physical kingdom.

Although I have to be subject to the rules set by the physical kingdom, I will gladly break them if it hinders me from sharing my faith. The government tells us that we are not to share our faith with the Muslims but what is wrong with that? Is their faith so small that they cannot bear to hear even a little about Jesus? Are they afraid that they might start doubting their faith? That I do not know but what I know is that I belong to the spiritual Kingdom of God and I am not afraid to do what my King says.

Wherever there are those who honor Jesus Christ, the King, there is the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 6:33
Seek first His Kingdom…

Belonging to His Kingdom,

Taking Over My Father's Business

Don’t you often get this question from older people, “When you grow up what you want to be? Are you taking over your father’s business?”

And then the other day this thing just struck me =) when someone asks me this question again I will answer “Yes.”

I am already doing my Father’s business and in fact I am working alongside with my Father.

How fortunate.

WARNING: Telling The TRUTH May Cost Your Life!

Raja Petra Kamarudin was sentenced to two years in prison without trial starting from today. ISA arrested the controversial political blogger under Section 73(1) of the ISA (Internal Security Act) for allegedly being a threat to security, peace and public order.

In other words, Raja Petra was put in prison for TELLING THE TRUTH…

He alleged exposed the government’s lies and deceptions and evil doings. With the so-called “freedom of speech” in Malaysia, he posted insights and news and stripped the government bare naked. By doing so he was detained under the ISA and today he was sentenced to two years in prison.

So much for FREEDOM OF SPEECH…

Wee Meng Chee was called to report to Bukit Aman Police Station today. He was the man behind the controversial Negarakuku song that he composed a year ago while studying in Taiwan. For the translation of the lyrics, click here. In his song he basically talked about the normal issues in Malaysia such as social injustices and national ills. He has apologized for his “sin” and the case was closed for almost a year until today. He may now be detained under non-other than…. you guessed it… the ISA! (again?!)

So much for FREEDOM OF SPEECH (song I mean)…

Raja Petra claimed to have told the TRUTH behind our government’s act and cover-ups. For that he was put in prison. Let us put aside whether his claims were true or not and let us look at the act of posting up his posts in his website. He had the courage to do so. He had the guts. He did not really bother about what may happen to him and he just went ahead exposing the government’s lies.

What then are we Christians doing? Do we want to continue sitting down in church and praying or do we want to get out and do something? At the expense of his life, Raja Petra spread the truth. At what expense then do we spread the Good News?

The early disciples and apostle Paul were ready to be put in chains for the Gospel. Peter and Paul were sentenced to jail for telling the Good News – the TRUTH.

Are we so scared to do so?

Or rather…

Do we bother?

He is a person who is sold out for Jesus. Nothing can move him once he has set his mind on doing and achieving something. Once he is set for one thing, no one can tell him otherwise.

He blogs, but he blogs differently. The world blogs about themselves, nothing but me, myself and I. But Zlwin Chew blogs his God. He believes that a blog is a powerful medium in which one can tell the world about what He, Himself and God has done in me, meself and I. God needs to be glorified, even online. The world needs to hear what it does not want to hear but need to hear. The world need to know what it does not want to know but need to know.
