One of the greatest rewards for being a magician are the smiles, laughters and applause you get once you have entertain your audience truly. The picture here was taken at The Curve during one of my recent gig. This girl gave the nicest smile ever when she saw my magic.

Building Bridges Through Magic

Another fun thing about magic is that you get to meet different people; some down right nasty and some really really friendly. I met this group at Urbanattic, Capsquare. Nice people who just wants to have good fun. among them are two actors, Tony Eusoff and Jay.

The Watchmen

Watchmen watches what no one watches and does what no one does. They would lay down their lives watching and protecting. They stand guard over the people that needs them but do not want them. They take up responsibilities which otherwise no one would want. Do you want to be a watchman? "What does it matter..." you ask.

Hang On

Facing a lot troubles in life? Everyone does. Even me, I’m currently facing a lot of problems with my family – that’s the reason I’m writing this. My dad and bro seem to think I’m a fanatic over Christianity now, and that I’m going to the extreme. But they realize not that I’m just a normal guy, the only thing that makes me different is my passion for God. I’m a normal human who sins at times, who disobeys my parents at times, who doesn’t like to study but have to, who is facing the same problems as everyone else, they just don’t understand. Christianity is NOT a religion, it’s a RELATIONSHIP with a God who is so passionate for us and loves us. I’m also facing a lot of problems in other areas of life. Even my friends’ problems are my problems now for it is good to carry each other’s burden, that’s what Christ taught us. So actually I’m not that really 24/7 smiling guy you see in church. I’m weighed down by problems, problems and problems.
But you know what makes me happy and keep me going? You know what prevents me to sink into depression? You know what makes me smile even problems are all around me trying to bring me down? - The JOY that comes from GOD. He is my source of strength and my refuge in these times. Paul faces a lot of persecution, Jesus was persecuted too! He faced a lot of problems in His three years of ministry. Peter and John were put in prison for so many times yet they still went on for because of the joy that comes from God. So what more about us?
We may face all kinds of trials and problems as long as we walk down this road known as Life. But we must know that each and every problems we grow through is meant to strengthened us in our walk (1 Peter 1:7) and they are meant for good – Romans 8:28 = And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. –
So you think you’re the only one facing problems and it’s just unbearable? You’re not alone. We have friends all around us, talk to them and share it with them. Pray and ask for God’s guidance to help pull you through, ask for increasing faith.

1 Peter 1:7
These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine, and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Whatever you are going through, hang on and put your trust in God. He knows.

So You Think You Can't Do It?

10 year old Tim was watching his classmates lifting up a 5kg dumbbell at the gym and he was amazed. Being little in size, Tim was always an outcast in his class. His friends who were of bigger size than him were always throwing insults at him for being small. The girls wouldn’t want to mix with him for they prefer the much more macho guys and those who are – of cause – taller than Tim. So life for Tim was a sad one.
Being able to carry the dumbbell was a great thing among the students of his class, and one that manages to carry the heaviest was considered the most macho. While Tim was watching his friends taking turns lifting up the dumbbell and the girls cheering them he felt weak and useless. Suddenly out of no where a girl came over to him and whispered into his ears, “Tim, you can do it, go...” Tim spun around and saw one of the girl from his class. He was silent for a moment then the girl said once more, “Tim, go.” Without saying anything, Tim stood up and nervously walked towards the group of boys. The loud chattering, laughing and cheering suddenly died down and all eyes were on Tim. As he approached the dumbbell some boys started laughing at him.
Tim took the dumbbell with his right hand and looking towards the girl he lifted it up.

Tim, like many of us think that we aren’t good enough to do something, we can only look with amazement at our friends doing great and wonderful things. We feel that we are useless and above all, just not good enough. We may be weak in some areas of our life, some people are good at sharing the Gospel, some finds is easy to say that they are Christians. But many of us think that we are just too small to make an impact for God in His Kingdom here on earth. As a matter of fact, we’re NOT!
Read the Gospel of Acts, we see that Peter and John were creating chaos in the world by proclaiming that Jesus has risen. Peter, a coward who was even scared of a slave girl and denied knowing Jesus in front of her, and not only that but he denied Jesus three times! But God was merciful, He strengthened Peter and Peter together with John went on a great mission to spread the Gospel.

What made Peter and John stand out?
1. They were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8 , Acts 4:8 , Acts 2:1-4) they received power when the Holy Spirit came upon them and became bold.
2. They had faith. In Acts 3:16 we see that Peter and John healed a crippled man and made him walk again.
3. They fellowshipped together and helped one another, strengthening them up in the faith (Acts 2:42-47)
4. They were stubborn for the right reasons. In Acts 4:19-20 Peter and John told the Sanhedrin that they will never stop preaching the Gospel although the Sanhedrin threatened them. That is stubbornness for God. (Acts 5:29 , Acts 5:42)
5. The people were praying for them (Acts 4:23-31)
6. They obeyed God’s command even though it was dangerous. Acts 5:20 – God sent His angels to rescue them from prison and God immediately gave them an order to go to the temple courts and preached! Wow, just came out from prison and looking for trouble again? That is love for God!

So you think you can't do it? Think twice.

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

INTERESTING . . . =)

While we were having our band practice this morning before YE started the electricity suddenly went dead! Aww man all of us were kind of dissapointed but then it turned out to be something good! We had our youth service at the church foyer and whenever people passed by we look at them and scream "JESUS!!!" haha, that's what I call Jesus Freaks. All of us were sweating but it was ok we didn't mind. YE service today was different and it was GOOD!!! God was with us nonetheless.

Sister Kim and Patrina went up and gave a talk on BGR (Boy-Girl Relationship) and it was a really good topic. It's not time for youths now to get involved. When we are involved in a relationship with someone I can tell you that you will surely tend to leave God aside and put Him as 2nd priority, I can tell you this because I have been through it before two years back. And relationship that don't turn out well will have bad outcomes, one of the main outcome is that one or both the partners will stop coming to church, this happens believe me! When I was with my girlfriend, I heard this kind of talk from many pastors and leader and I was like, "bla bla bla ok ok, it won't happen to me, me and my girl are really in love." (Yea right!) we broke-up and guess what? What the pastors said came to pass, she left the faith. So I'm being careful now that this will not happen again!
People, think now... Your feet are not strong in God yet and you want to lift up one foot and step into the Land of Relationship? You will fall! Get your heart right with and in God before you step on new territories. Don't think of having a relationship now and "commit" youself to him/her when you haven't even have a relationship with your Creator Himself. You can't love God's creation when you don't even love Him.

It's okay to have crushes though, I can't and I don't deny that I have crushes. If people tease me about someone, I will be cool and answer, "Yea I like her, so what?!" and they will shut their mouth haha. Infact I did tell the girl I have crush on her, what's wrong in that? Be open. I'm not a "Player" as some people would tease me (but I don't care what they say, teasing has no effect on me), I can tell you that I have a crush on quite alot of girls yea. But if you were to ask me, love... nah... I don't know about that yet. Love and Infatuation lives in two different worlds haha. But I do have spiritual love for them, want them to grow more in God and have a relationship with Him. After all, a relationship with someone has the main purpose of builing each other up in God. So at this wage, relationship is a no no. Place God first...

Matthew 22:37
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Hillsongs United Live Concert!!!

Last night’s Hillsongs United concert was a sold-out event! It was wonderful. The Hillsongs band were really awesome, but what I like best was the message by their pastor (I don’t know the name though) his message was short and to the point! First he preached about living out loud for Jesus, that when we hear God calling us to do something for Him, we “Just do it!”. This thing got me thinking, “Yea, if God is for us then who shall be against us? I’m gonna do something and change this generation, but first I will start with me.”
His second message (which was very short and to the point again) was about having a RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD... I was just talking to Shannon about this in the bus on the way to the concert, and this was what I and Adrian has been trying to get through to the youths! I was so glad he spoke about that, I somehow expected that coming though.
God wants a relationship with us, what more you?

I had a fun time with my camera and was snapping pictures all the way, but too bad that in the concert hall they didn’t allow us to use cameras, sad! But anyway I wasn’t really high over Hillsongs, well, they are just normal people for your info, but I wouldn’t mind going again though. On the journey back home Jolene sat with me and I chatted with her about some views and also the importance of having a relationship with God. (Jolene, sorry if think my “preaching” was boring, had to tell la haha)
Hillsongs’ over, gone back home, back to our life, this time a changed one! We’re gonna start building a relationship with God!

Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.

Simple Words Affect The Whole Soul

Yesterday was the last day of VBS. I had mixed feelings, I felt sad and at the same time; happy. Sad cause that I can’t see the kids anymore, happy cause I can get away from them haha. We had the most enjoyable VBS this year, it was just great, and the kids were just so adorable. Well, those in my group hehe.
I was really really touched by one little kid, he gave me a gift. A really cool notebook from Australia with different Bible verses on each page! I don’t plan to use it, just keep it haha. His name is Isaac and he’s just so cute.
What’s funny is that we only communicated for like 5 minutes over lunch on the 2nd day of VBS! Just a short chat with him like, “How’s the food?” and then we went on talking about him going for holidays and THAT WAS IT! And he wrote on the gift wrapper these words – Dear Zelwyn, Thank you for caring. Jesus’ Love, Isaac - He spelt my name wrongly but it was ok. What touched me was the words “thank you for CARING”. I didn’t know that a 5minutes talk was counted as caring... I was really really touched by this kid.
We can learn something from this you know? Isaac’s happiness over a little chat shows that it doesn’t take a string of million words to built a relationship with someone. I took 5minutes and maybe less and by that he thanked me for CARING... Look at the people around you, there are people who are lonely, go talk to them, even something short will do. These lonely people just need someone to notice that they’re there, and they will appreciate your time. What made me spoke to Isaac was because he was having his lunch and I kind of feel that he was lonely so I went and talk to him, and he appreciated me. I’m really touched. Go ahead now and mix with the lonely people you see around you, they need you =)

Do You Really Want It ? ? ? Huh ? ? ?

Do you really want it?!

Looking out his window he sees his group of friends cycling past his house, all of them wore exuberance on their face. As they cycle past him, his friends waved and asked him to join in the cycling fun, he forced a smile and said, “It’s okay, I have some homework finish! You guys go ahead and enjoy yea.” He climbed down from the chair and went to his room. Little Johnny, 5 years old - always wants to own his own bicycle so that he can join his friends on their joy ride but he never had the courage to ask his dad.
That evening he sat at his living room eagerly waiting for his dad to come home from work. Sound of the jangling of keys was heard; the door creaks and opens, in comes daddy! Johnny ran and gave his dad a hug, and then he gathered his courage and said, “Dad, I want a bike...” Dad responded, “Cool, son. Daddy will get you one when daddy gets his pay.” Being little he knows not when payday is so he waited. Everyday he sits at the living room and waits for daddy, then he would run to his dad and ask, “Is it payday yet, Daddy?” as days pass, he grew tired of asking and finally after 3 weeks he gave ask asking and assumed that this dad did not want to get him the bike since dad always tends to love his sister more than him. Since he has stopped asking from his dad, his dad assumed that little Johnny didn’t want the bike anymore so when payday finally came he got his son a shirt. When little Johnny saw it he shouted at his dad, “Why did you get me a shirt? I want a bike!” His dad answered, “But you stopped asking.”

We are the Little Johnny in this story, we long for something and we send our request up to God. Day by day we ask and we can’t wait for God to answer us – like Little Johnny who can’t wait for his dad to say, “It’s payday!”. After a long time of asking and not receiving we (like Little Johnny) give up and stop asking. Then after a long period of time we get angry at God for His “unfaithfulness”. You shout like Little Johnny, “God! You promised! But You did not fulfill!” and God’s answers, “DO you REALLY want it? If so, WHY DID YOU STOP ASKING?”
We want to see revival among the youths! We want to see God move! We want to see God bring in the numbers! We want to see God fire up the people! We want to see God delivering us from the storm! We want to see our friends come to know Jesus! We want to see our nation saved! BUT WHY DID WE STOPPED ASKING ? ? ? ! ! !
John 16:24 promises that, “ASK and you will RECEIVE and your JOY will be COMPLETE.” Little Johnny’s joy wasn’t complete because he stopped asking. Continue to ask and you will receive. If you really want to see God move, DON’T STOP ASKING...

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Lonely People...

Today marks the end of the third day of VBS (Vacation Bible School) We went to Shah Alam Water Park, quite nice lar the place, for kids. It’s rather rather small compared to Sunway Lagoon but its still a nice place especially when you have cute little kids bullying you haha. Today I didn’t go for any of the rides at all!!! The whole time I was with this cute little 4year old girl named Huay Xin. She’s just adorable, but the bad thing about her is that as if her lips has been glued together with Uhu glue, she just refuse to talk! But thank God after carrying her around on my back and wading in the pool she finally decided to speak to me, and I was so glad she opened her mouth haha. She was really cute, when the other youths want to carry her she would let out a high-pitch scream and only allow me to carry her, cute =) Once she told me she wants to go the toilet but she said, “Now I want go toilet but later I go I cannot shit shit” I was laughing like crazy inside haha.
I learnt that managing kids isn’t a really really easy job.
Today’s lesson for me was taught by little Huay Xin. She, like many youths in church are really quiet and doesn’t want to mix around much, no matter how long they have known you they still refuse to open their mouth. But if we take the initiative to talk to them and to mix with them, they would slowly open up. Little Huay Xin was really quiet at first and just refuse to open her mouth but after being with the silent Huay Xin for a whole hour she finally talked! And when she talk she can’t stop haha, she keep telling me ,”I want to go there, I want to go there. No I don’t want. Where is Jie jie? I want go toilet. I stomach pain.” And so on… =)
There are many people around you who are really LONELY and they just want someone to go and make friends with them and to chat with them. One of the main reason why people leave the faith? Because they do not have friends to talk to them and make them feel as if they are a part of the church. People wants to be part of the family, but what is a family if there’s no communications? What more the family of Christ? So you people should start mixing around from now on, STOP mixing with your own cliques all the time but go and make new ones. There are lonely people out there, go and change their lives.

Proverbs 27:10
Do not forsake your own friend… Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.

Another awesome prayer meeting!!!

Yesterday at VBS was a very very tiring day, we (Ian, Jon Kok, Alex and I) woke up really really late, I somehow off my alarm when it rang ish. Ian said, “Wow first time Zlwin woke up late!” haha. Well thank God that I woke up anyway =)
At night Alex went home after tuition, wasn’t able to join me at my house. Ian and Jonathan slept over another night. At about 11pm a friend of mine called me up and we chatted about stuffs. She has been going through a lot of problems, we chatted for quite long then we prayed over the phone. Something needs to change among the youths of the church! I’m kinda frustrated actually. Will blog this soon.
After the conversation on the phone Ian and I had our prayer meeting, Jonathan was already sound asleep. Even with the loud talking in our prayer it couldn’t wake him up, what a pig haha. The prayer meeting the two of us had was just as great as two nights ago. You know what? When we gather in small groups and pray and fellowship we are able to fired each other up without realizing it. Especially when we’re praying together we burn each other. Last night we pray for my friend, and did not forget to pray for GY Camp. You people who are going for GY Camp, I suggest you get down on your knees now and start praying if you want to see revival in the youths, for God will send His revival when you are serious about it. Pray together... God bless all...

Acts 2:42
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

I CAN'T CONTAIN IT ! ! ! JUST WANT TO LET THEM OUT ! ! !

AWESOME!!!! AWESOME!!!! I can’t explain it!!!! The MOST AWESOME PRAYER MEETING we ever had!!! Me, Ian Lin, Alex Yong and Jonathan Kok had a prayer meeting at my house last night. At 9.30pm there was a prayer meeting for GY Camp in Sis. Kim’s place and I couldn’t make it there because Dad wouldn’t allow. So I thought of having my own prayer meeting in my house so Ian, Alex and Jonathan came over. We planned to coincide with the prayer meeting at Sis. Kim’s house so we started our prayer meeting at 9.30pm same as Sis. Kim’s. Oh I tell you..........!!!!! It was AWESOME!!! We started and 5 minutes later all of us were shouting can u believe it?! And later we started to stomp our feet and screamed at the devil. I can tell you I was sweating! And we were in an air-conditioned room but still sweating! Can you people believe it?! (Sorry if I put too many exclamation marks, I just can’t contain it now!) We prayed for souls to be saved in GY Camp, and we can see by faith that there will be many! I can’t tell you in details what we prayed, I can’t type out 2hours prayer meeting in a message, I can’t explain God’s touch in a message! You HAVE to EXPERIENCE it for YOURSELF! We can’t explain!
And you know what? The songs that I chose before the prayer meeting were all linked, I can’t explain how but it was linked! God revealed Himself to us through the songs. One more miracle, we ended around 11.35pm and I got an sms from Shannon Keng, she said that she called up Cerdwin who is in Penang and chatted with her for about 50 minutes. Before that I have sent a message to Shannon talking about some spiritual stuff, it got her fired up and I also got fired too, so she called Cerdwin to tell her what I said, and Shannon told me that Cerdwin was fired up too!!! And the most amazing thing was that while we were praying in sweat, Shannon was on the phone with Cerdwin and I believe that God heard our prayers and cries and answered us! By the way we were also praying that God fire us up too. See! While we were praying that God fire the youths up, God used Shannon to do that to Cerdwin, and I believe that through Cerdwin, many many people will get fired up too!
Forgive me, I can’t stop =) while praying, my dad called (he was out that time) and asked me to go down to do something and I went down and you know what? While I was downstairs, I was singing out loud too and my neighbor’s maid was staring at me haha. I was jumping too when I was downstairs, Jonathan, Ian and Alex were screaming in prayer upstairs and I can hear it from downstairs!
I LOVE PRAYER MEETINGS ! ! !
You know what?! God is going to move at camp! Even before camp. We have to continue to stand in the gap and pray and pray and pray. Tell you what, it does not require a really wonderful speaker to fire us up ok, God can do it Himself IF we only SEEK HIM!!! WE (me, Ian, Jon Kok and Alex) did that last night and we FOUND GOD...

Matthew 18:19-20
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.
For where two or three come together in My Name, there I am with them.

The Four Fired-Up Guys High on Drugs - JESUS ! ! ! =)

The four of us got really really high after prayer meeting! haha. Hey tell u peeps, it was a really really awesome prayer meeting!!!!

Lesson from VBS (Vacation Bible School)

Today was the first day of VBS and it was just amazing! I love to be around kids, but of cause kids are a nuisance at times =) still love them though. I was in the group named Ray, the sun. Nice group. The kids were super noisy and hard to control, well they are kids, what less can I expect of them. There was this kid who was so annoying and kept going against the “authorities” I ask him to sit and he stand, stand he sit, oh man...
I learnt a valuable lesson from this VBS, there are kids who are just plain pain and I felt like just leaving them and go be with other nice kids. I did not see that these irritating little brats just needs attention. And this applies to our daily life, the irritating kids are our friends who we reject or do not wish to talk with. Take a moment and think, are there anyone in your life you always try to avoid whenever you see them, you just want to be with your bunch of friends - your clique. But when new people try to join in you don’t entertain them. I have seen this happening many a time. The little irritating boy that keeps coming at me really pissed me off at times and I just felt like shouting at him, don’t bother about him and just go play with the other cuter and nice little kids. Today’s VBS taught me that we should love the unlovable – that is Jesus’ motto. These kids want to be loved (who doesn’t?) and so does your friends whom you’re trying to avoid, thaink about them now and make a change.

Pastor Ronald Teo and Pastor Ree Shih has done an awesome job in organizing this annual event for so many years, God bless them abundantly!!!

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (This is what VBS is all about)

Awesome Midnight Prayer Meeting

Wow awesome! Last night at 12am Jonathan Kok, Ian and I had our prayer meeting and lasted till 1.45am. it was just awesome! God touched just, He renewed our fire. I’m so fresh now! Before that I had a really really bad day because my thoughts were really messed up and I wasn’t feeling well inside but after the prayer meeting, I’m so fired up again. Jonathan Kok and Ian are two very special youth, how many will want to do a prayer meeting in the middle of the night??? They will think I’m out of my mind. But it is at night when all is silent and calm and the atmosphere is serene, that’s the best time to seek God. God is awesome! I’m looking forward for more of this kind of prayer meetings. People who seek God will find Him. God bless all!

Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Extreme Hair Growth

BEFOREAFTER

Praying in the Name of Jesus - What Does It Mean?

Praying in the Name of Jesus - What Does it Mean?

During the Biblical days a name was more than just a word which people use to identify each other. A name tells of the person’s personality, his attitude, his background, his family and his life. For example; Abraham means “the father of many” and he had twelve sons, the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro means “excellence” and he became Moses’ advisor. Paul means “little” and this man of little size had faith that moves mountains. Immanuel, the title given to Jesus means “God with us” and indeed God was with the people of the New Testament in human likeness. When Jesus asks us to pray and ask in His name, it means to pray and ask according to His will. Let’s look at an example of asking according to God’s will in the Old Testament:

One night God visited King Solomon in his dream and told him, “Ask for whatever you want Me to give you.” (1 Kings 3:5) and without hesitation Solomon replied, “Give Your servant a discerning heart to govern Your people and to distinguish between right and wrong.” And God was so pleased with Solomon. Because Solomon did not ask for life or health for himself or death for his enemies, God gave him what he did not asked – both riches and honor. (1 Kings 3:10-13) So Solomon became the wisest man on earth. When you study the request of Solomon you will be able to find that he asked for wisdom not because of self-conceit. Instead Solomon asked for wisdom because he wants to rule God’s people (not his people) and make sure there is justice among the people God has entrusted into Solomon’s hand. Solomon wasn’t selfish with his request and God was really really pleased with Solomon’s request (1 Kings 3:10).

Jesus said ask for anything in His name and it shall be given to us. But does that mean that if you can ask that God give you a car so you can drive although you’re underage? Of course not! Why? Because it ain’t God’s will, disobeying the law is a sin. The next time we ask for something we got to make sure it is God’s will for us to have it. So boys, stop praying that God bring you a hot girlfriend into your life at this schooling age. Girls, stop asking God for a handsome boyfriend who owns 10 credit cards. Sometimes your prayer may go unanswered, this can be either God is asking you to wait or you are asking out of God’s will. Start praying according to God’s will today onwards, pray in His name, His will.

John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

What's Devotion?

What is devotion? Is it like sitting down and read a book quietly? Is it like waking up early and force yourself to pray? Is it that boring time of the day where Christians tries to take it as a fun thing to do? None of the above my friends. Devotion means to devote your time to something or someone, to give, to sacrifice, to spend your time for someone, to devote yourself... to God.

Many Christians find themselves not growing spiritually and they blame the church and the people around them. Some even go to the extend of going to their pastor and inform that they are going to change church because they are not growing in their current one. I find this rather ridiculous and sorry to say; stupid. If someone comes up to me saying they wnat to change church for this reason I would tell them, "You can't grow in this church? Well, are you doing your devotion at home?" and they will definitely go silent.

Do you remember the joy you had when you first receive Christ? Or the first time God answered your prayer? Are you feeling dry in your faith now? If you are, then most likely you are not doing your devotion. You see, we can get all hyped up after a powerful pastor delivers a message at a big conference and you go all crazy about Jesus the nest day. You feel like climbing Mt.Everest and scream, "JESUS is GOD and SAVIOR! I LOVE HIM!!!" One week later you would think twice, maybe climb Mt.Kinabalu and shout, "I love Jesus!!! Do you?!!!" the following week you might just want to climb a hill and shout, "Jesus is God." and the following week you might just thought of staying at home and watch TV. This is very common among Christians nowadays, they get fired up but the fire NEVER last long. And one day it eventually dies and boom, the devil sends a lttle gust and down you go from the faith...

How can you keep this fire burning? Not just keep it burning but fan it into big flames! Easy, do your daily devotion. In your devotion, God is able to speak to you, He is able to tell you how to deal with your problems, and He is able to fire you up day and day and He is able to fan your fire into flames.

Your body needs food to survive right? You eat three meals a day to stay healthy and keep living. So does your spiritual body, it needs to be fed daily, i repeat, DAILY. You can't just depend on the weekend breads you receive when you come to church for service, it's not enough for your spiritual body! It needs to be fed everyday, and you feed it by reading God's Word, the Bible. Spend time with God in your devotion and He will feed you with the heavenly honey. It taste like... life.

Do not let your spiritual body grow weak, for when it is weak the devil finds it rather easy to attack you. When your spiritual body is weak the devil is happy, becasue he can pull you down from the faith easilly. And soon enough, you become a backslider.

You want your life to be better? Have a relationship with God so He can help you, and have this relationship by doing your devotion. Sacrifice a few minutes of your God-given 24hours for Him. When you start to do this, you can see your life start to change.
God bless all...

Colossians 2:6-7
So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthen in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness.

Heberws 6:1
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that leads to death and of faith in God.
Mama Pink! =) Woo hoo! Adrian is starting to like pink too...

The Importance Of Prayer Meeting

Prayer
I want to share something about YE prayer meeting on Saturdays. For your info it starts at 1.30pm sharp. Let me tell you the importance of prayer, do you know that no matter how much we can do for God but without prayer its USELESS??? I’m experienced it myself yea. Prayer moves the hand of God that moves the world! When we gather together as a group united as one powerful weapon, we can advance against the enemy with effect! And this can bring down the devil, so it is very important that we gather together every Saturday at 1.30pm for the prayer meeting. Leave your work, do it later no matter how important it is, prayer comes first, finish your meeting before 1.30, get up at 12pm and be ready to go to YE at 1pm, eat your lunch earlier, do whatever you want but make sure that you turn up for prayer meeting at 1.30pm. This may seem like a lecture for you people that’s reading it, well, you can say it is. Because I’m really disappointed at the attendance for prayer meeting, you know who you are. Well sorry if I sound kinda harsh, but at times I am when I’m serious about stuff. So forgive me.
I can tell you a lot about prayer but you won’t understand it until you pray and experience it for yourself. God bless all!

Romans 12:12 = Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 = Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, fir this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

???

The cheekies haha =) Hey Jolene, invite me to your crib again! Gideon, stop bullying her! =)
Friday night at Grace USJ

A few of the YE youths went to Grace USJ on Friday for the songwriting competition. It was awesome. 5 songs were submitted from Grace Klang alone! Wow that shows how talented we Klang people are. Next Guy Sebastian? Haha. Anyway all glory and honor to God the Father.
The USJ team’s songs was just great! They have a high chance of winning you know. The Catalyst was great too, a rising band. Alexander wrote a beautiful piece but too bad he didn’t have the voice to sing haha so he asked me to sing for him. Andy and I came up with a rather groovy and funky song, a very different style of the music that we always play at YE. I came up with a kinda metal song haha. And after I sang it, Wei Loong was screaming from the back, “I didn’t know you like wearing pink but you can sing metal! PINK METAL!!!” haha, I kinda like it, Pink Metal =) cool ain’t it? I wrote a song with words out from the Bible, it was Pastor John’s idea though. So if I don’t win I don’t really care, just want to tell people that it is possible to write songs with words taken straight out from the Bible, many singers have done so. Sister Kim suggested that next year onwards YE will not have Planetshakers but our own people to shake the planet with our songs =) maybe we should come out with an album too haha. Well why not? God gave us talents right? All glory back to God. I’m learning how to be more humble in my doing, and of my skills, cause well, they aren’t mine, they belong to God. So bare with me when I’m a little show off at times, Jesus is still working with me. Remember this people; more of God and less of us.

Psalm 96:1-2 = Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.

Relationship With God

“Argh! Life sucks! Why is everyone turning against me?! My friend bailed me out last minute! My sister’s a pain! He’s not picking up my call! My handphone just went dead! My mum’s nagging me! Today is just not my day! Damn! I hate life!”
The normal teenagers cry almost everyday huh? Well life isn’t smooth sailing all the way ain’t it? Sometimes you’re up in the air sometimes you’re face down on the ground. Welcome to life.
You’re filled with so much sorrow and pain now, your crush just told you that he or she does not feel the way you do, your dad suddenly plans to take you to a remote place somewhere in the middle of nowhere for a “holiday” during the weekends and no matter how much you tell him that your weekends are for friends he still turn a deaf ear to it. You want to call up your best friend hoping that she may comfort you and just lend a listening ear to you but she is having a date with her boyfriend! You can’t take it anymore! You take it all on your little sister by bullying her and she cries and mum yells and you and give you an hour-long lecture about loving thy siblings. Can your day get any worse than this??? So who are you going to turn to for comfort? All your friends are busy with their own stuff. Who can you turn to now?
Here’s the answer, plain and simple truth, someone cares for you and wants to help you, no I’m not joking, His name is JESUS. And yes, He cares for you. 1Peter 5:7 – Cast your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.
You’re screaming at me now , “What da?! Hey dude! FYI I pray all the time and tell Him about my problems and I’m still feeling the same, not getting better but getting worse!” Chill dude, say that you’re Mr.A and Mr.B has a problem, he’s been trying to tell you about it and is expecting help but he gets no respond, this is because Mr.B does not have a relationship with Mr.A yet. Do you suddenly go up to a stranger and tell him that your wife left you for another guy after 10years of marriage?! Yea you may if you’ve gone senile. Same with God, you first need to build and have a relationship with God before you are able to get results for your lamentations to Him.
Relationship is like a bridge that connects you to the other person. You get to know the person by spending time with him and slowly develop a relationship, a bridge that connects him to you. Have a relationship with God, have a bridge that connects you to God! Across this bridge disappointment crosses over from your side to Jesus’ side, across this bridge goes anger, frustration runs over to the other side, sorrows get kicked from your side to Jesus’. You have a Friend that wants to really really help you. This Friend will always be there for you to talk to, He doesn’t go on an appointment and leave you alone, He doesn’t get too busy with His own chores and forget about you, His mobile phone is always on and ready to receive your call. He is always there! So do you bridge?
But remember this, when you have a relationship with God it doesn’t assure you that there will not be any problems in your life BUT it does assure you that when problems come your way, you have a Friend who is more than able and more than able to pull you through. God bless all…

Yesterday Adrian and I were at the YE's Office and well, we started to talk about some stuff, then it all went dead silent, after that we on a worship song on the computer. In a matter of minutes we were crying out to God to make a change in the youths. We cried out to God to start to plant a desire in everyone's heart to know God more. Can u imagine it, a prayer meeting in a office and God was just moving. Well, God's presence is all over, but depends on whether do u want to seek God or not. His touch is refreshing to the troubled soul.
This morning me, Adrian, Ian, and Jonathan Kok had our little time together with God at my crib. It was just great to fellowhip together and draw honey from heaven. Well im hoping for a great day ahead.

Hebrews 10:24-25
Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourag one another - all the more as you see the Day approaching.

This blog - to encourage you people on to continue running the race... God bless all...
