Hang On
Facing a lot troubles in life? Everyone does. Even me, I’m currently facing a lot of problems with my family – that’s the reason I’m writing this. My dad and bro seem to think I’m a fanatic over Christianity now, and that I’m going to the extreme. But they realize not that I’m just a normal guy, the only thing that makes me different is my passion for God. I’m a normal human who sins at times, who disobeys my parents at times, who doesn’t like to study but have to, who is facing the same problems as everyone else, they just don’t understand. Christianity is NOT a religion, it’s a RELATIONSHIP with a God who is so passionate for us and loves us. I’m also facing a lot of problems in other areas of life. Even my friends’ problems are my problems now for it is good to carry each other’s burden, that’s what Christ taught us. So actually I’m not that really 24/7 smiling guy you see in church. I’m weighed down by problems, problems and problems.
But you know what makes me happy and keep me going? You know what prevents me to sink into depression? You know what makes me smile even problems are all around me trying to bring me down? - The JOY that comes from GOD. He is my source of strength and my refuge in these times. Paul faces a lot of persecution, Jesus was persecuted too! He faced a lot of problems in His three years of ministry. Peter and John were put in prison for so many times yet they still went on for because of the joy that comes from God. So what more about us?
We may face all kinds of trials and problems as long as we walk down this road known as Life. But we must know that each and every problems we grow through is meant to strengthened us in our walk (1 Peter 1:7) and they are meant for good – Romans 8:28 = And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. –
So you think you’re the only one facing problems and it’s just unbearable? You’re not alone. We have friends all around us, talk to them and share it with them. Pray and ask for God’s guidance to help pull you through, ask for increasing faith.
1 Peter 1:7
These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine, and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Whatever you are going through, hang on and put your trust in God. He knows.
