I'm Going Diving!!!
I am going DIVING!!!
Tomorrow I will be flying off to Phuket with my dad, Pastor John, Jeffrey, Justin, Sean, Sidney and Justin’s parents. Pastor John opened an invitation for anyone who wants to join him go diving. So I decided to join, asked my dad and he agreed without hesitation and he is willing to tag along as well! Praise the Lord!
So I will be away from the 24th to the 28th. And on the 29th I will be having my DRIVING test, not diving. Good news is I will be coming back to Malaysia a certified Open Water Diver!!! I will be taking my Open Diver Exam in Phuket together with Justin and if we pass we will come back smiling holding our certificates, if not then I guess I will stay back and enjoy the beach mourning.
Honestly, my main aim to go to Phuket is to take photographs on the beach =) even before deciding to join Pastor John I have already told my dad to bring me to Phuket one day because I want to take pictures haha.
On Tuesday me, Justin, Sean, Jeffrey and Pastor John went to the Selangor Polo Country Club to have our dive lessons. Only I and Justin were the beginners. Both Jeffrey and Sean are already certified Open Water Diver and are now pursuing their Advanced Diver certification. The following pictures were taken on Tuesday when we were at the Polo Club. Man, Justin’s arm was cili padi red at the end of the day! Thank God I had a full suit haha.
So guys, tata for now and I will be blogging when I come back. Maybe you will hear from me on the 2nd of March or something. I need to get my rest after I get back and need time to process the THOUSANDS of pictures that I will be taking in Phuket =D
God bless and take care my friends!
I zoomed in to take this shot of the leaves against the background of the water. Nice? =)
Some greeneries…
I think it is rather creative of me to find this angle and shot =) Not praising myself la but just evaluating my progress in getting better in photography. Hehe.
Sean in the background.
Oops! *.*”
Look at my beautiful attractive PINK FLIPPERS!!! I’ve got HAPPY FEET =)
Pastor John briefing us. Man he looked really strict in this picture.
Gearing up.
This is a sign divers use to mean “OK”.
Our Lunch… So little =(
Man, look at his body! Hot!
This is the total opposite of Pastor John’s body haha!
NAKED!!! Haha! Nola, were actually only in our swimming trunks. Justin and I were taking our paper test.
An architectural shot.

Why should I become a Christian when the Worst Hypocrites are in the Church?
One major excuse people often give to refuse embracing Christianity concerns the hypocrites found in the church, both past and present. They always point to the past misdeeds done in the name of Christ. Some people tend to do things saying that “Jesus Christ told me to.” But in fact it is the total opposite.
It cannot be denied that there are hypocrites in church. In fact if you open your eyes wide enough and not just look at the church you will be able to see hypocrisy everywhere – even in the government! There is hypocrisy in the church, in the school, in the family, in the government, everywhere.
Hypocrites are basically a person who say something but does the other. They live in inconsistency of their words and claims. Read the daily newspaper and you may just come across news of church pastors, deacons, and ministers caught and charged with adultery, fraud, evil schemes and alcoholism and anything which is the total opposite of what they preach or believe in.
However although the church contains hypocrites it does not mean that all Christians are hypocrites. With every example of hypocrisy being pointed to in the church, a counter example can be pointed out showing many Christians living consistently with the Bible and God’s teachings.
It is important we do not confuse hypocrisy with sin. All Christians are sinners but not all Christians are hypocrites. There is a huge misconception that when someone claims to be a Christian, then he does not sin. This is not true because the truth is when one calls himself a Christian; he is admitting that he is a sinner.
All human beings including those of pastoral positions in the church are prone to the sin because of the state of the world we live in today which so contrasts with the Bible’s teachings. We must not assume that just because Christian sins therefore Christianity is not true. The rise and fall of Christianity lies on the person of Jesus, if Jesus was a hypocrite then by all means, call Christianity a terrible flaw in history. But the truth is Jesus was not a sinner nor was he a hypocrite. In all four Gospels of the Bible there was no account of Him ever sinning. This is because Jesus lived in full consistency with his teachings from the beginning to the end of his ministry on earth.
Let’s look at one illustration for this post. A manufacturer of a car company just came up with this new model he has just created. And he advertises it saying this is the “Best Model Ever Created in History!” which boasts of all the latest equipments in the car and all going for a cheap price. And then we see him driving a car manufactured by his rival company! A total contrast of what he is selling! How can a person say that his car is the best yet he does not even drive one?! But this does not deny the fact that maybe his car is still the best, just that most probably he liked the other model better because of its color.
The same is true with Christianity. People may claim that it is true but yet lead lives inconsistent with the claims but this does not and will not invalidate the truth that Christianity is true.

Of Umbrellas and Silhouettes.
It has been a long time since I have taken interesting silhouettes. I love taking silhouettes pictures because it is easy! =) and with a little creativity you can take wonderful silhouettes just like a pro. Silhouettes are pictures taking against the sun. You put the subject in front of you and facing the sunlight you capture your shot. Easy weezy.
A few close friends when to Jolene’s house for the Chinese New Year and we had a mini gathering. While waiting for the rest, the few of us (me, Jolene, Suba and Yvonne) went out to the field nearby and decided to go wild with the camera. So here is only a glimpse of the many shots we took. Enjoy =)
All pictures were taken by me unless noted otherwise. *tripod used.
Wonderful trees around the park.
Chicks under my umbrella… eh… eh… under my umbrella… ella… ella… (I hate that song by the way, super irritating!)
Ooh I love this shot of Suba!!! She was moving and dancing and I kept snapping away with my camera and got this really nice one.
Subashini =D
Me. Picture taken by Jolene =)
Jolene Tan =D
Yvonne Yap =D
Suba again. Nice. She has the move!
Yvonne =D
I think with photoshop this picture can be edited to be really nice. Maybe I will try.
Jump jump!
Broadway!!! Here we come!
Ah ha!!! Saw me doing the kung fu kick? =D
I don’t know why but Jolene always seem to take wonderful shots of me jumping! This is her second one. The first was last year September 11, to see the picture, visit http://www.zlwinchew.blogspot.com/, it’s on my blog header.
Another wonderful shot by Jolene. I actually stripped off my clothes and tied in around my waist and was jumping and kicking for so many times to get a nice shot. The people at the field were wondering what this crazy bugger is doing.
Suba trying to kick =)
I like this shot, look as though she is falling.
This picture is credited to Suba. Nice! =D too bad I don’t know no taekwondo or kung fu. I know pepper spray though.
I gathered some onlookers and got them into the fun as well =)
Then I coax them into borrowing their bike saying that I will put up the pictures in STAR Newspaper haha.
Looks like E.T. =D That’s Suba.
And this is Yvonne.
Suba has a niche in silhouettes pictures. Love this pose.
For your eyes only.
Saw that little tiny droplet of water? Used the Super Macro mode on my camera for this shot.
I love this picture. Can you see the sunlight making an outline for the leaves? Look carefully.
Mushroom! Nah, nothing great about it. Eat it and you will probably end up in ICU. I like this picture cause I managed to blur the background as well as the lower front portion. Easy when you have a good camera and a just a little brain =)
Oh! The serenity…
Light shining through.
Now you can see the faces. And look at my shirt! Sweating all over.
Credits to Jolene for this picture. She took it while the sun was about to set.
