The Stage Is Set But Who Dares To Go Up?
The lights are on, the music is ready to go, all eyes are on the empty space upfront, everyone is expecting the unexpected (or the expected), all ears are ready to hear, their senses are ready to be touched… the stage is set.
The stage is where the performer takes the show and does whatever he wants. The audience has a choice as whether to pay attention to the one on stage or to turn the other way and walk away. This is their choice and no one can force them otherwise. They also have the choice to be open to what you say or to react with anger. Some even give the one on stage applause just because everyone else is doing so. The stage is a place where only one person gets to be heard aloud and seen by all. The stage is where the one standing there has the power to influence and convince.
After waiting and waiting and waiting and yet there is no sight of anyone on stage the audience starts to get restless. They chatter among themselves and bore one another. Finally they get up of their seats and the leave. And finally the performer comes on stage only to see empty chairs.
The world is the stage and the audiences are the people. You are the performer or the one on stage. Everyday of your lives you are the performer and you are also the audience. You can choose to perform and you can also choose to sit, watch and listen. Everyday of your life you are doing these two things. What you choose to deliver on stage is your decision and in this theater, no one forces you what to say. As an audience you have the choice to enjoy or hate the performance, accept or rebuke the words said and oppose or dispose the next performance. Also you have the choice to perform to others what you have just seen.
The ability to influence and be influenced are inborn within us. Some may be able to influence more and others may be able to be influenced more. The things you do onstage are important as people may follow in your footsteps or people may hate you. Who or what you choose to portray is important.
Still there are a lot of people who are stage fright and dare not approach the steps to the stage with a ten foot battle lance. Some tend to be nice and does something else on stage other than what they know they ought to do. Everything is set for them and the audiences are just waiting for someone to brave the stage but no one turns up.
It is time for you to brace yourselves and start to prepare for your show. There is no time left to waste and there is nothing much you can do except train and prepare yourselves for the show. Take the stage and do what needs to be done. Say what needs to be said. Tell what needs to be told. Bring to light what needs to be brought to light. Show your audience the way, the truth and the life. Show, do not only say, but show. The wonder of the stage is that there is only one performer and one thousand audiences. You need to be heard and you must be heard. However choose to say the right thing and give the right and important information.
Too many people are missing out on a very important stage subject. Those people that are missing out might not have another chance to hear it again. Therefore, those who know what needs to be said ought to quickly go up and say it.
The stage is set but who dares to go up?
