This is a post on Interschool Rally 2007.
What If…
Have you ever asked yourself this question that begins with “What if…”?
What if I were to enter Arts Stream after Form 3?
What if I were to go for Yvonne’s party?
What if I were to buy this shirt?
What if…
What if…
What if…
What if…
Have anyone told you that everything happened by chance? You forgot to bring your school tie and so happened that day your school called off assembly and you go “Phew!” . Or remembered the day you were walking home from tuition and two guys was about to mug u but so happened that a group of adults were passing by and you were saved? Is it by chance? What if there was assembly that day? What if the group of adults did not pass your way?
What if I were to tell you that nothing happens by chance?
What if there weren’t any plants on earth? What if all the trees on earth one day disappear? What if I was more handsome? What if I was prettier? What if I was a celebrity? What if I can sing like Daniel Lee? What if I were born in another family? What if my parents have enough money to send me to school? What if I had a million dollars? What if… And the list of questions goes on.
Many of us are wired this way that we think life is just about studies, entering college, get a job, get married, build a happy family, continue working until you retire, send your children to college, and wait for your departure from earth. Doesn’t it sound so boring? And so mechanical? You wake up, you go to school, you come back form school, you go for tuition, you come back from tuition, you study, you eat, you sleep, you wake up the next morning and do the same routine. But I throw you this question:
What if you were meant for MORE than this?
What if you were meant to do more than just study, enter college, get a job, get married, get babies and build a family? What if I tell you there is more to life? What if I tell you with no doubts that…
You were born for more!
Life is not just about eating, drinking and be merry. Life is not just about having a “Happy ever after” ending. Life is more than this! You think you can’t do much, you are limited with financial problems, you were born in a poor family, your parents are divorced, you are the least favorite in school, and everyone treats you as though you are invisible. You are sick of life, you tell yourself that for the rest of your life you will remain the same. Wait… Don’t give up hope yet… Because there is someone who knows what he is doing with you.
Are you constantly asking yourself, “What will my future be?”
What if I tell you that you don’t have to worry about your future because it is well taken care of?
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
What if I were to tell you that life is not just about getting a good job, getting married, building a family and waiting for life to end?
What if I tell you that God knows your future? What if I tell you He has something great in store for you? Will you believe me? Will you believe God?
There is something waiting for you this season. There is a greater reason for your existence here on earth. You will be blown away. There is something great to be revealed to you on the 7th of July 2007.
Come for this year’s Interschool Rally. There is something waiting for you to be uncovered.
What if you do not go for Interschool Rally 2007?
I leave the answer to you alone.
What if you come for Interschool Rally 2007?
Come and you will know the answer.
See you on the 777.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

WOO HOO!!!
I HAVE SOMETHING GREAT TO SHARE WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!
READ ON!!!
I BEG YOU!!!
PLEASE!!!
PLEASE!!!
=)
REMEMBER the post I posted about PARIS HILTON just a few days ago?!
I was mentioning that we Christians could at least pray for poor Paris suffering in jail rather than telling our friends, “Yea she deserves it! Good for her – that good for nothing girl!”. And remembered that I mentioned that WHO KNOWS God might suddenly reveal Himself to her?
REMEMBER?!
Now read today's (13th June, Wednesday) STAR Newspaper page W39!
There’s an article on Paris Hilton!
Here’s a portion of the article from the STAR Newspaper:
___________________________________
Paris: It’s a message from God.
‘Jail term a wake-up call’
Paris Hilton believes her jail sentence was a message from God to change her party-loving lifestyle and become a positive role model for women who looked up to her.
“I was not the same person I was,” Walters quoted Hilton saying on her ABC television programme The View on Monday.
Hilton was dragged sobbing and wailing from court on Friday, suggested she intends to give up her lifestyle of endless VIP parties, red carpets and pursuing the limelight upon her release.
“I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here,” she said.
“I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”Hilton said her new-found spirituality had led her to believe that her jail stint was meant to be.
___________________________________
And this was what I posted in my previous post on Paris Hilton:
___________________________________
When I read the news about Paris I pitied her and you wouldn’t believe it, I prayed for her. I prayed that she won’t go insane in the cell. And I was hoping God would suddenly reveal Himself to her. God CAN do that ok, don’t underestimate God. So yea, I was hoping God would suddenly appear to Paris and give her a command to go spread the Gospel and TA-DA! after getting out from jail, we could see Paris going from one church to another preaching about Jesus. Now wouldn’t that be cool?! Who knows she might even come to Grace Klang and preach in YE haha.
___________________________________
I was SHOCKED when I read the newspaper this morning! Paris Hilton is deciding to change her lifestyle?! Far-out isn’t it?! And note that she said, “I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”
WOW!!!
Didn’t I tell you not to underestimate our God? =)
I do not know what happened to her inside the cell but I do know that God must have spoken to her in one way or another. And Paris said she believes that the jail sentence was a message from God. It is just amazing that Paris would suddenly decide to change her unruly lifestyle. And it is just amazing what God can do huh?
Now those of you who read my previous post and prayed for Paris can be humbly proud of yourselves for what has happened to her. God has heard your prayer and gave Paris a wake-up call.
Do not stop praying. And let’s see is Paris able to live up to her words. Let’s see and pray whether Paris will come out of jail a whole a new Paris who has found God.
Let us see…
And pray…
GOD BLESS ALL and
GOD BLESS PARIS…
Not a fan of Paris but a fan of Jesus,

Had this picture taken with Paris during the world premiere of Pinko and Paris. Nice huh? =)

I was supposed to post this up about a month ago haha. It is about the Puisi dan Lagu competition Andy and I took part in. If you remembered, on the 26th April I posted a post on this. Well we beat 15 other schools and won the first round of the competition on the 25th April. And I am here to share with you what happened after that =)
For many of you who haven’t been following my blog, here is a short explanation. Andy and I were called to enter this Puisi dan Lagu (Song and Poetry) competition by our school. So we entered. Our group consists of 6 members, four of them are Malays and only Andy and I were the non-Malays.
We had our first competition on the 25th April. We won the first round and we qualified for the next round. In the next round (which has already ended) we represented the whole of Klang. So with heads bowed low and a rush of adrenaline, we went on stage on the 8th of May for the state level competition.
Before the competition, Andy and I said a simple prayer that goes something like,
“Lord Jesus, we ask You to help us in our presentation. Help Andy with his voice, help me with my guitar playing and help the rest of our group to do well. We pray that in whatever we do, we may glorify Your name. Bless us and use us. In the name of Jesus we ask and pray. Amen.”
And we went...
And other schools around Selangor went on stage and presented their Puisi dan Lagu...
About 4 hours later...
The judges announced the winner...
Our teacher came to us and told us we didn’t make it. (like what he did at the first round) And all of us were downcast… except me... Our teacher told us we only made it second place. But I didn’t believe him. So when they were about to call the second place to come and get their trophies, I told my group members to just sit down and wait because I knew that wasn’t for us. They though I was crazy and refused to accept the fact. But little did they know that...
WE WON...
Woo hoo!!!
Yay!!!
And we are now REPRESENTING SELANGOR!!!
We will be flying to Labuan, Sabah for our final competition. This time we represent Selangor and we are competing against 12 other states of Malaysia. We will be proudly carrying the Selangor flag there haha. From school representative to Klang representative and now Selangor representative.
Can somebody tell me how cool our God is?! =)
And last Monday we went to Shah Alam to be trained by professional coaches. Our group now consist of a guitarist – me, 2 vocalist – Andy and Faliq, a pembaca puisi (poetry reader) – Selina, a pianist – Idham, and a flute player – Gosh! I forgot his name… I call him Kecik haha. Because he is young and small in size and short hehe.
The coaches that trained us were professional musicians and singers in Selangor. They play for concerts and stuffs like Malaysian Idol (I think...) The vocalist was a Malay lady and her voice was wow! And she look kind of pretty too hehe, right Andy? =)
We practiced in this studio with super-branded instruments. I can’t even count the number of guitars there. But one guitar that caught my attention was the Fender Stratocaster! Ouch! The sound was superb! But still I love my Yamaha RGX 820ZBT =D
What I hated most was all of the 5 coaches were SMOKING in the studio except for the pretty lady haha. And argh! I just couldn’t wait to get out of the room because it was so POLLUTED! Gosh! If I go there more often I might even get lung cancer!
Hehe I took a picture of two of the coaches smoking after practice. See them later.
NOW HERE COMES THE JUICY PART…
Andy and I really thank God for all that has been happening to us, especially for this Puisi dan Lagu competition. For the first and second competition we did not asked God for a win or first place. All we asked was that we could glorify Him. And He answered our prayers. He even gave us two wins in a row. How awesome is that?
And that is why I am writing this post.
To glorify God.
One verse that has been given to me during the start of the first competition was Ephesians 3:20.
Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably (exceedingly) more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us.
This verse was so so so so true to what happened for Andy and I. The verse tells us that God is able to do immeasurably more that all we could ask or imagine. You see, we did not ask God that we would win in the first competition and we did not even imagine winning! Serious! And He gave us the first place. And in the second competition, again we did not ask to have won. Although we wanted to get the first place but still we did not expect. And again, our faithful God gave us more than we could ask or imagine!
The NKJV Bible uses the word “exceedingly”. Isn’t it just so true? God is able to do exceedingly more than what we ask or imagine.
And the second part of the verse says, “according to his power that is at work in us.” God has the power to do anything He wants according to His will. And it was really true that he was at work within us during the competition. I could suddenly freak out and forget my chords and poor Andy could have suddenly lost his voice or something but none of this happened.
Be careful how you read the verse above in case you might get the wrong meaning. The verse tells u that Christ is at work in us. Therefore, God is able to do exceedingly more in us and through us. But note that this could only happen if we allow and let God work in us.
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I (Isaiah) said,
“Here I am. Send me!”
Isaiah allowed God to use him. Therefore, God gave Isaiah a commission to harden the calloused the hearts of the Israelites. As a result, Isaiah’s commission rendered the warnings of God’s judgment sure. In short, Isaiah’s willingness to let God use him made him one of the greatest prophets.
It all starts when we let God work in us.
Pray for Andy and I. We will be going to Labuan for the national level competition on the 25th June. Pray that we would be able to glorify God, regardless whether we win or not.
God bless all...
Send me!
Zlwin Chew.
