BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL...
We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year…
How merry should Christmas be? How much gifts should be exchanged to make Christmas merry? During the month of December, people will be saving up their money to buy gifts for their good friends and family members. They will go shopping and look for the items that their friends would want as a Christmas gift. However, I choose not to join the crowd.
I believe that Christmas should not be the only time where we give gifts to one another and try to please everyone. I believe that Christmas is a time to share the greatest gift with those who do not have it yet.
25th December is the day we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus wasn’t exactly born on this day. He came into the world to give us the greatest gift that man could get. He came into the world to die for our sins and to give us the ticket to heaven.
It is a good thing to bless one another with gifts during Christmas for that is like what Jesus did by blessing us with salvation. However this should not be the main thing to do on Christmas. Non-Christians are also practicing the exchanging of gifts without knowing the true reason behind this season. What then makes us different from them? Jesus did not say, “You must buy presents for your friends on Christmas day.”, Jesus said, “Be my witness…”
I am sorry to disappoint those who may expect gifts from me. I want to tell you that my financial situation does not allow me to buy any gifts for you. I do not like using my father’s money to buy gifts for my friends. Also I do not believe that it is a must to give gifts to my friends. But throughout the year, I would sometimes buy books and give to some of my close buddies because books are much more valuable than decorative items or accessories. However I do thank you for giving me gifts, I appreciate each and everyone of them and I thank God for your blessing towards me.
Once Christmas is over, the exchanging of gifts should and must be continued. Give one another your time, your help, your prayers. Give them something that will be of eternal value and not of earthly value. Give them happiness not through material stuff but give them the joy of knowing Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Spend time with your friends and pray with them and bring them to church. Give gifts that will last for eternity.
Have a Blessed Christmas.
Here are the pictures taken during Hydrowar at GY Camp 2008.
Most of the pictures were taken by me. But those that you see me in it then it is clearly not taken by me. I did not have time to edit the pics and also I do not know how haha. But do enjoy and grab as many as you want. However the pics have been compressed to a smaller size. The original ones are too big to be uploaded into Blogger all at once. More will be uploaded soon. And DVDs will be on sale.
