Acts 16:5
HEY BEAUTIFUL PEEPS!
We are back again =) First of all we just we just want to tell you that no matter what you look like, in God’s eyes, you are the most pretty and the most handsome person on earth! Come on if you say you are not that means you are mocking your Creator’s work! How is that possible?! =D
So how was yesterday’s food? Found the hidden HONEY?
If not, you have to dig deeper and find it yourselves or take the easy way out by reading this post. Well the verse in Acts 16:5 is not really hard to understand is it? Ok here goes:
Peter and Paul were the missionaries that heard their call and went out on full gear to spread the Gospel. And they were the pioneer church planters, where ever they go they will make sure a church is planted there and also make sure it grows. God was with them the whole journey through. They went through many trials and persecutions and were even put in jail many times but each time they were miraculously rescued by God.
Now we must be wondering what has those two men do in the New Testament that made such a great effect now. From just church planting in Judea to Jerusalem and now to the ends of the earth! Far out isn’t it?! How does a church grow and be able to make such a great impact in God’s kingdom? The answer to this question is found in Acts 16:5. Understand?
Note that it was written “churches” with the plural form not “church”. And it was written that the churches grew daily in numbers! Not being stagnant and just sitting down waiting to rot. And we all know that if something grows it becomes bigger right? So that is why the Gospel traveling to the ends of the earth is made possible.
But wait, what was the fuel behind the growth of the churches?
Read the verse again, a familiar word will pop out from it – FAITH.
They were strengthened in the faith. You go, “Oh! Now I know!” Yea now you know. The reason for the growth of the churches in Acts was faith. Faith is the essence of growth. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and of what we do not see! Faith is behind each and every great thing the Prophets of old has done. Faith was what made Moses crossed the Red Sea. Faith was what made Abraham left everything and followed God’s voice. Faith was what made David killed the Philistine, Goliath. Faith was what made Daniel escape the mouth of the lions. Faith was what made Sadrach, Meshach and Abednego danced in the fiery furnace. Read Hebrews chapter 11 and you will find the Bible Hall of Fame of people who had craved their name on God’s heart with their INDESCRIBABLE FAITH!
The central theme of the Bible is found in Habakkuk 2:4 which says that,
“...the righteous will live by his FAITH.”
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
The faith of the early churches was to see the rise and spread of the Gospel. Though they have yet to see the results of it, they went ahead by faith nonetheless. Their hope is for the border of the Gospel to be widely extended beyond its territory in Jerusalem and they are certain of this happening though it has not been done. Now that is an example of faith mentioned in Hebrews 11:1.
So they were strengthened in their faith. They were certain of their hope. They were rooted in the Word. They were prayerful. They were seeking God. They were enthusiastic for God. They had a vision. They were strong in God. They studied the Bible each day. They met together and prayed. They often met to fellowshipped. They were hungry to hear sermons. They prayed for their missionaries. They were hungry for God.
THEY WERE STRENGTHENED IN THE FAITH...
THEY GREW IN GOD...
SO THE CHURCHES GREW...
Hebrews 6:1
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that leads to death, and of faith in God.

Food For Thought
AH! FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
Hey hey people! Feeling HUNGRY?
The Chefs are back! (once again) haha. So have you taken your food for the day? No, not that food, you know what food I am talking about don’t you? The Daily Bread that can never be exhausted, it has a limitless supply of scrumptious and delicious delicacies for all kinds of souls out there. Be it Chinese, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Mongolian or Moshashuians (no such word) we can all eat of this food. Well don’t act as if you are in oblivion, you know well enough what I am talking about yea, it is the Word of God, the Bible! =)
God asks of us to “eat” His Word, so He gave us 24 hours and we should at least spend 10 minutes to sit down quietly and eat. And till now many of us find it rather hard to eat? Why?! Aiks... Doesn’t that pose a grave danger for your soul? Do you want to be called a weakling and fall down when the enemy throws a small toothpick-sized dart at you? Think and act now before it is too late yea.
Ok today’s delicacy is called “Food for Thought”
Hmm... What is it? Ok well, read and you will find out. Now open up your heart and eat this:
Acts 16:5
So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.
So? Is your mind going hay-wired reading this? Hope not. It is rather easy to understand though. Fell dig deeper on this food and you will find the SWEET HONEY hidden underneath it. I will come back tomorrow and share with you the honey that I found. But for now I want you to eat on your own and find the honey yourselves =)
I will end with a light but delicious dessert. Well, enjoy your meal.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Like this picture, if you find it delicious, you would love to know what is really hidden underneath!!!
It is more sweet and nice than it looks! So dig deeper into your meal!
But remember, don't play with the food! =)

Now You sEe Now YOu Don't
Now this is a case of
NOW YOU SEE... NOW YOU DON'T!
It is a very dangerous stunt; readers are strictly advised NOT to try to attempt this stunt at home! I have undergone professional training therefore I am able to perform this stunt. Again I say DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME or ANYWHERE ELSE!
Now what you see here is a picture of a box of Ferrero Rocher, 18 pieces of that mouth-watering chocolate-coated whole hazelnut with a special creamy filling. In about a few minutes time, these richly chocolate-coated hazelnuts will be devoured and consumed by my big smelly mouth. Watch closely as I glut them down my stomach.
NOW YOU SEE...
Poh Leong here is trying to steal the Ferrero Rochers away from me. This is a terrible sin. That is the alluring power of Ferrero Rochers, it has a magnetic pull with a radius of 200 meters.
Well, I do not all allow Poh Leong to take it away of course. So I quickly gulp them down! Be careful not to have yourself chocked in the process.
... NOW YOU DON'T !
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to eat, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOW YOU SEE... NOW YOU DON'T!

Yup, they are all gone. Every single piece of Ferrero Rocher.
... NOW YOU DON'T !
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to eat, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
_________________________________________
Now let me share with you another case of “Now You See, Now You Don’t”. If I were to show you the empty Ferrero Rocher box with the left behind wrappers will you believe that there were Ferrero chocolates inside the box? Of course you would. Now if I showed you an empty box and tell you that it contained chocolates, you would certainly doubt my claims for sure.
It is really hard to believe in something you have not seen.
Now let us look at John chapter 20. This was what happened; after the crucifixion of Jesus, He rose on the third day and appeared to His disciples. On the first evening of the week, Jesus appeared to a few of His disciples and ate with them, but one of the disciples was not with Him at that time, he was Thomas.
So the other disciples went and tell Thomas that they saw Jesus but Thomas doubted their claims and said, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” (John 20:25) Wow! Talk about hard-headed sarcasm! Thomas would probably take home the title as The Most Hard-headed Guy.
Out of his surprise, Jesus appeared to Thomas about 8 days later. The room that Thomas was in was locked but yet the Bible mentions that Jesus came in and stood among them (John 20:26) Guess what Jesus did. He went over to Thomas and showed him His scars. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”(John 20:27)
Jesus was like, “Hey Tom, put your finger on my scars and feel it. Now touch my side and feel the mark. Stop doubting and start believing!” Jesus wanted to prove to Thomas that He was indeed alive and not dead. After Thomas saw Jesus, he exclaimed, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)
Now this incident tells us that God does not want us to doubt Him at all. He has provided us a lot of evidence of His existence. It is all out there. We so easily take the words we read in the newspaper but we DOUBT what has been written in the Bible? Why is that? Think.
I show you an empty box and tell you that it used to contain Ferreros in it, you wouldn’t believe. Now I show you an empty box with Ferreros wrappings in it you would believe that there indeed was Ferrero Rocher chocolates in it. So NOW, I show you the world and the Bible, would you believe that there indeed lived and walked the earth a man called Jesus Christ?
John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Jeremiah 29:13
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
It is really hard to believe in something you have not seen.

Swee Vien
HI READERS! =)
I am posting about my trip to Swee Vien's crib yesterday. Well I had a rather enjoyable day there. THANK YOU SWEE VIEN!
It was fun to meet new people with different and vibrant personalities and hang out with them. And not to mention being
TORTURED and
VIRTUALLY MOLESTED!!!
Read on and you will know why.
Note: I am not good at remembering names so well, um, those girls at Swee Vien's, forgive me if I forget your name hehe. Sorry...
Enjoy =)
AWW.....
Doesn't she look like a cute little puppy here? (that was what Adrian told me haha...)
This is Huei Lin. Why the card on her forehead? She was indicating on how many children she wants to have in the future. Now why don't you add two more and form a football team... Hmm...
Ok I want to puke too when I saw this AWFUL, HORRIBLE, UNRULY, DISGUSTING, STUPID, POSER, TORTURED pictured of mine!
This was what happened... I went to Swee Vien's house and well I got a little BORED so I decided to break the ice. I approached the girls who were busy yakking away and I asked them would they love to play a game. And they did.
So we played a few rounds and at first two girls got forfeited and were called to do The MISSISSIPPI haha. And after that all of them were pissed at me cuz I talk too much =) so they came up with a vice plan to attack me. And well, I LOST...
And you know what they made me do???
The MOST UNRULY thing ever done by me!
They took the KFC plastic bag and made a tube out of it! Argh! I thought only girls are supposed to wear that?! And they made me walk out of the house and approached a neighbor and shout "GONG XI FA CHAI" !!! I did, ironicly to an Indian lady, and I can tell you that from the expression of her face, she was SHOCKED!!!
"What is this psycho guy wearing a plastic bag tube trying to do?!"
The girls are MONSTERS...
Another horrible picture of me with that unruly tube!
Haha ok ok the card does not indicate the number of kids she want, I was just crapping jsut now.
Now let me explain to you the Drink and Puke game. This is what we were supposed to do. We each take a card an put it on our forehead without looking at it. And the person with the lowest card is supposed to............................ (see pic below)

But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the ressurection of the righteous."
What Jesus was tring to convey in the parable is that when we invite someone to our house for a lunch, banquet, dinner or anything that involves food, do not invite those people who you think may invite you back. We should invite without having at intention of them paying us back. To sum it all up - WE ARE TO BLESS PEOPLE OUT OF LOVE.
JOEL and FIONA, THANK YOU for inviting us although knowing in your hearts that it is a fat chance that we will invite you to our houses to repay you. My brothers and sisters, THAT is LOVE =)
Loved,

Pastor Ronald
Hey people! I am back! Well it has been a really really tiring day for me. But I learnt something valuable out of it though. Will tell you soon, bear with me.
Ok first I went to my Grandma's for lunch with my uncle's family.
Now... The pictures...
Then I went to Pastor Ronald Ooi's house after that with Sister Kim, Teacher Penny and Jian Quin.
From left: Joy (Pastor's daughter), Sister Kim in Pink, Mr. Vain Pot Zlwin Chew (me), Her Majesty Jian Quin (Queen), Miss Universe 1970 Mrs Ooi or Pastor Jasmine, and of course the man of the house, Pastor Ronald Ooi! (ook at his pretty legs!) not in picture is Tchr Penny who took this picture.
Pastor Ronald living up to the title, "Man of the House" siiting on his throne and overseeing his dominion.
Pastor Jasmine or what I would rather call, Sister Jasmine, and me =)
Sister Jasmine: Oh I am taking picture with Zlwin! Gosh! You made my day!!! =D
Pastor Ronald: Look up! Look up! Bird poo incoming!
Pastor Ronald's cutie girl, Joy! Hey readers, yes I know she is cute and she knows that well too. But sad to say, she's taken =) Everyone goes: "Aww........"
Ok guys, I am part of the Ooi family now.... =) haha.
Oh well that's about all. We didn't take many pics cuz we were busy chit chatting. Thank God that the YAF group left before we came so we could have a better chat with Pastors' family. Joy is a great girl, chatted about some Psychology stuff and she is just so interesting. Thank you Pastor Ronald, Sister Jasmine and Joy for letting us crash at your place, mess it up, steal some food, take ang pao and leave. Thanks =) hehe.
After Pastor Ronald Ooi's house I went to Rou Shinq's house. Well I couldn't go at first cuz I do not have any transport there and back then Shannon kept calling and bugging me to go and said she will fetch me back, so well I went. Dunno how many times did Shannon called me up when I was in Pastor Ron's house. I was chatting with them half way and I had to excuse myself to answer Shannon's call, about 7 times if I am not mistaken! Argh! But oh well I had a great time at Rou Shinq's, met her eldest sister and family. Nice =) Thanks Emily and Rou Shinq!
_
Well here is what I got out of today's visits and all. It is not about the angpaos (though I love them haha) but it is about LOVE. It was out of LOVE that my Grandma spent the whole of last night cooking a delicious meal for us, Phong Teh, her own special recipe. It was out of LOVE that Pastor Ronald Ooi invited us to their house, though he knew that there is going to be a lot of cleaning up to do after that. We crashed his place, ate the cookies, dropped a lot on the floor and dirty up the whole place. We even got angpao from him, then we did the most amazing thing (as everyone does) we said, "Bye bye Pastor, thanks for inviting us." and LEFT... He got nothing out of it, but he gave his best to us - LOVE. It was out of LOVE and appreciation as a friend that Rou Shinq and Emily invited me to their house. And it was out of LOVE that Shannon kept calling me up on the phone and bugging me to leave Pastor's house and go to Rou Shinq because she was bored haha. Everything was done out of LOVE (I am not sure about the last one though).
_
You see, Chrsitians are suppose to be like that. We are called to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. And love NOT BY WORDS but LOVE BY ACTIONS. God did not just tell us that He loves us, He SHOWED us and GAVE us His love. How? By sending His one and only Son Jesus Christ down to earth to die for us so that we can go to heaven if we believe in Him.
_
That, my dear friends, is LOVE....
_
So we should love one another just as God loved us. Do not choose who to love! God asks us to love EVERYONE. Yes, everyone...
_
Let us STOP LOVING BY WORDS and start LOVING BY ACTIONS.
_
1 John 4:11
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
_
Pastor Ronald says,
"YES! Love everyone even though they look as silly as me!!!"
_
(sorry Pastor, I had to... hehe)

Loving One Another (LOA),

1 John 4:7-11
Dear friends, let us love one another, for the love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
HAVE A GOOD DAY PEOPLE !!!
Hugs and Kisses with Lots of Love,
Zlwin and Janielle.

ANGRY?!
Yes I do get angry! Sometimes I get so pissed at life that I feel it is so meaningless. I get so frustrated, infuriated, enraged, irate, irksome, exasperated, and other strings of words of the likes. People and situations around me just seem to want eagerly to get to my nerves and hit the anger button. Sometimes I feel that I should just quit everything and lie down on my bed and listen to Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars and reminiscence about my childhood days. But NO! That’s not the answer to life’s many hurdles. Pick yourself up! Lift your silly whining face off the ground and wake up! There is more to life than this!
Hebrews 12:2-3
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Let us now look at Jesus. The verse above tells us something really significant. I have posted a post on this verse in one of my many previous posts, go read it, it is good stuff. Well, there is just so much to this portion of Scripture that I can not stop sharing with you. One of the things you can do is memorize this verse and meditate upon it and let God speak to you.
Ok now, back to the verse. Let us look at the part which says, “who for the joy set before him endured the cross,” Do you understand this? My dear brothers and sisters, our dear Jesus has been through much more than any of you had. He has been persecuted where ever he goes. He performed many miracles in front of many people but many still regard him a hoax, a bogus and someone “dreaming big”! Many did not believe that he was the Son of God. He came to earth to die for them so that they might go to heaven but still many persecuted him! It is like you going to MidValley Mega Mall and giving away the latest Nokia mobile phones to every passer-by and along with it, a packet of Ang Pao containing RM50 and when the people sees it, they chased you out and spits at you and kicks you like a hog! That, my friend, was what Jesus went through.
BUT...
Jesus saw “something”. Read the verse again, “who for the joy set before him endured the cross,”. That’s it! Now you get it? Jesus saw the JOY set BEFORE HIM! He saw the JOY that he was going to get after he has went through the cross! Jesus’ biggest hurdle wasn’t the persecutions and rejections, they were just minor stuff. His biggest was the cross! Even before he was supposed to be nailed, he prayed and asked God IF it is possible and according to God’s will, may God take the cross away so Jesus don’t have to go through it. Jesus dreaded it, BUT he saw the JOY for him AFTER he has went through the cross – the joy of the redemption of God’s beloved children.
Today, know that whatever you are going through, whatever situations that might be a real pain for you, whatever problems your family is having, see the joy set before you. Like Jesus, endure your cross. Stand firm, do not let your anger and frustration get the better of you. Know that God has a reason for everything.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
God knows what He is doing. Stick close to Him in the face of difficulties and rejoice together with him in the face of stillness and peace. When life seems good, God seems distant, when life seems bad, God has a reason. God wants you to know that you need Him at all times, to test you that when you get angry and frustrated, who will you turn to. Sometimes troubles are just wake up calls from God. So wake up, pick yourself up and start living again. See the joy that is about to come.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crops fails and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen, and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength,
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.
Endure with Christ,
Zlwin Chew.

Me?
Well, I am a male (duh!) but many regard me as a female or rather a female trapped in a male’s body. Whatever =) this is me. I am 18 now and still getting older as the clock ticks away gleefully not being aware that I need more TIME (huh partner?) Life is good, well except for the little flaming arrows of the enemy shot at me at times, but I will brush’em off my sleeves like arrows shot by a barricade of teeny weeny ants.
Hmm... About me... What about me? Well I am all about Him not about me, but I will tell you about Him through this About Me so that you will know more about Him through this About Me =)
I love my Jesus! He has brought me out from darkness into light, those of you who knew me from Standard 3 to Form 1 will probably presume that I was Satan’s number one apprentice. I am 18 and high on caffeine. I am high on drugs, yup that is right, drugs. My drugs? Jesus, the Bible, prayer, evangelizing and the list goes on... Want to try my drugs? Anyone? You won’t regret =)
I love PINK a lot! Oh I don’t have to prove that to you right? Look at the color of my blog! (thanks to Shannon btw) People tend to family pink with gayness or homosexuality. But hey! God did not create colors and say, “People, black is for male, pink is for female.” No He did not! And don’t you people try to play God and tell me pink is for female only. God is GOD and you are NOT! =) I admit I am kind of a metro sexual because I have people telling me that and well, that does not bother me at all. I am on a crusade to pullulate this generation with PINK! =D want to join the force? Save Pink!
I love my family A LOT! Yes I do! And I know my brother, Alwin Chew reads my blog sometimes and he dislikes my posts. Well korkor (yes that’s what I call him), if you are reading this now, know that I LOVE YOU. I have never said this to you I guess, but well, I do. And I love mummy and daddy too (yes, that’s what I call them). You may think I am a Christian fanatic or something or have gone overboard in my faith or something but I want to tell you this: If the King of Malaysia, the Sultan, comes and shakes your hand and asks for your name, then gives you a book with his signature on it and an album he recently cut. You will of course feel so exhilarated you want to tell the whole world about it right? Same here, the King of kings has revealed Himself to me and I can not help but to tell the whole world about Him and His goodness. He died on the cross for me so that we can go to heaven, so I have no reason to withhold this awesome news from the world. So well, yea I love you and family! =) I am still me, Zlwin, your irritating brother.
I love my friends! Yes I do! God has blessed me with good friends, well some ain’t good but I love them still.
Well, nothing interesting about me. Hope I didn’t waste too much of your precious time reading this post. Happy CNY and Happy Holidays!

The Chefs are Back!
HOWDY our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!!!
Good morning! Or rather, good afternoon! =)
~THE COOKS~ are here once more to cook you people a very yummy-licious (sorry Pinky) meal!
Before we start, forgive me if I accidentallyadd some wrong ingredients (but I know I won’t) because we slept at 4:20am today! We were busy cooking you see. We chatted about a lot of mouth-watering and anger-brewing stuff and we decided to cook you this wonderful meal today. *Janielle! Ish! Another 15 minutes of smsing we would have broken our chatting record of 4:30 am!!!
Well, enjoy everyone!
We will be serving you people with a scrumptious and lip-smacking plate of The Unity Pizza! It is made out of a beautiful song found in Psalm 133:1. Nicely battered with flour, cheese and a little milk taken from 1 Corinthians 3:9, you will have a gorgeous taste. Then baked with Romans 12:5 and it is almost done. Last but not least, it was topped single-handedly by Zlwin and Janielle with a lot of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control from a packet of Galatians 5:22. And give it to the Master Baker and it will be given back to you fully baked and ready to eat!!! Enjoy!
Psalm 133:1
How pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Romans 12:5
So we in Christ who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Enjoy your meal and be UNITED in Christ!!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to ALL! I LOVE YOU!!! *HUGZ!
Hey Lovely People !!!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
So the big day has finally come huh? This is the day where many of you lovebirds exchange gifts, hugs, kisses, poems and sweet words. This is the day where many of you take the once in a lifetime opportunity to confess your love to your crush and hoping that she or he will tell you what you want to hear, “I love you too!” Wow! =)
This is also the day where MANY of you out there wished it did not exist at all huh? You are lying on your bed in your room with your mobile phone in hand waiting for your crush to reply your valentine message. You are feeling depressed because you don not have a valentine and you are all lonely on this special day. All your friends have their loved ones sending them gifts and roses. All your friends are busy on the phone tonight. All your friends are out with their sweetheart and there you are, lying on your bed, ALL ALONE. Not a special day to you after all huh? Well hold on... IT IS!
Do you not know that everyone of you out there has a SPECIAL Valentine? Do you not know that everyone of you are loved? Loved to the extend that the One that love you decided to lay down his very own life for you. Wow! Let me tell you this, it is an undeniable FACT that ALL of you have a Valentine, and not just for today but yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the rest of your life!
Many many years ago, someone by the name Jesus came to earth for a reason. He came not because he just wanted to. He came not because he just happened to be born. He came because HE LOVES YOU! Yes it is true. God our loving Father loves us so much and wants us to be with him so much that he decided to send his Son down to earth so that we may be saved. Bear with me for a moment and continue reading.
1.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
The Scripture above tells us that all of us have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Sin in Hebrew/Greek means “to miss the mark”. In a archery session, you take the bow and arrow and shoot but misses the bull’s-eye and that is missing the mark or target. So we are all sinners because
2.
Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.
There! Need is say more? Adam sinned because he disobeyed God and ate the fruit which God told him not to. Therefore because he sinned, all of us are considered as sinners too. Very unfair huh? Not really! Wait and see...
3.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
How great is God’s love for us! While we were still in sin, while we were still going about doing sinful things, while were still sinful, Christ Jesus died for us! Jesus is our atonement for sin. He paid the price! Not you! He came to earth to die on the cross for us so that we can go to where God wants us to be. It is fair after all.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The wages or result of our sin brings us death and not only physical death but also a spiritual death where we are thrown into a place we all dread to go – hell. But fear not for God has given us a gift! The gift of life, the gift of eternal life! And where is this gift? In Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!
NOW you know that after all there is someone who loves you so much, someone that died for you even though you did not know him that time. Now do you know that Jesus is standing right beside you with an out-stretched hand? And in his hand he is holding a beautiful red rose. And he is asking you a question... A question that you have asked many times and the answer is always a “no”... A question that you wished that your crush will ask you... A question that has been asked by Jesus himself many times... A question that goes like this:
“Will you be my Valentine...?”
So what is your answer? You know how hurt it feels if you ask this question to your crush and she/he says “no”. You know how hurting it is when the one you love does not want to accept your love. You know how hurt it feels when you have spent a hundred ringgit to buy her/him that pair of shoes that she/he love but yet does not want to take it. Then you know how hurting it is for Jesus.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus is not asking much. He does not want your money. He does not want your clothes. He does not want your car. He does not want your shoes. All he ever asked for is your HEART. It is just as simple as that. All he wants is that you give your heart to him, confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that Jesus is indeed our Lord and Savior. That verse above is Jesus’ Valentine Card to you, specially sent with an invitation for you to open your heart’s door for Jesus.
Jesus is asking one more time...
“Will you be my Valentine...?”
If your answer is “yes”, the heavens rejoice and I rejoice with them. If your answer is “yes”, say this short prayer:
Dear Jesus, I confess with my mouth that you are Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that you died for my sins and that you were risen up again. I realize that I am a sinner and I need you in my life. Today I repent from my sins and I would like to invite you into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and life, Jesus. Thank you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Jesus is smiling now because you have accepted his love. And I am glad for you too. I would love to share God’s joy, if you have said that prayer, can you send me an email at zlwin.jesusfreak@gmail.com. I would really want to hear from you =)
And for those who did not say the prayer and you still have doubts, I would love to answer your questions to clear it. Feel free to send me emails but not virus please =D
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

I Want To Hear!
Many of us are always crying out, “God! I want to hear from you! Send Your word!” without realizing that you have already heard from God. Whatever He wants to tell you is in the Bible. How can we say we can not hear from God when we haven’t even touched the Bible? It is when we read God’s Word only will we be able to hear God’s voice. And note that God’s voice comes in many many forms, one of the most effective way to hear the voice of God is from the Bible itself! Other than that, God speaks through things, through animals, plants, your parents, friends and even through circumstances and happenings. God is Almighty and He can speak to us in many ways, not necessary in an audible voice.
Wanting to hear from God is one thing,
OBEYING God when He calls or speaks is another thing.
Genesis 12:1, 4
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.”
... So Abram left, as the Lord had told him.
This was the account of God’s calling for Abram. God spoke to Abram, probably in an audible voice, we do not know how, but the undeniable fact here is that God SPOKE to Abram. Notice God’s call to Abram, God told Abram to leave everything and go. Go where? Go to the land. But what land?
“The land that I WILL show you.”
Take note of the word “will”. The word “will” is a modal verb use to form future tenses. So from this passage we know that God asked Abram to go to a place that God HAVE NOT shown to Abram. And it takes great faith to listen to a voice calling out to you to leave everything and go to a place unknown, furthermore Abram must be thinking whether has he heard the voice of God or it was just his own mind throwing the words at him. It must have been a hard time for Abram to decide whether to heed the unknown voice or not.
In our current time, Abram’s call from God would sound something like this,
“You, yes you! I am the Lord and I want you to leave your iPod, your mp3 player, your computer, your handphone, your digital camera, your surf pants, your guitars, your wallet and purse and bring only a pair of clothes with you. Then go to the place called Kawamarilaly MoShi KuShi SuShi MuShi in the country called Matagura Kalala Malala Lululala.”
Now will you do what Abram did? (v4) “So Abram left, as the Lord had told him...”
Tough huh?
Abram obeyed God and he left, and his obedience to God’s call caused God to use him in such a mighty way that Abram - later named Abraham (Genesis 17:5) and his descendants filled the whole earth. Abraham’s descendants, the Jews, are still a numerous people today. He was also made wealthy and protected by God throughout his whole life. Even now, the three world religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam – honor Abraham. And Jesus was also a descendant of Abraham, came to bring salvation. Abraham bore Isaac and Isaac bore Jacob and then there were the Twelve Tribes of Israel which later filled up the whole earth.
There are many accounts in the Bible that tells of how God calls His people and they responded to His call, many immediately and some after a while. To obey God’s call especially in cases like Abraham’s requires two things – FAITH and TRUST.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
So we do not want to be eager to hear God's voice when we are not prepared to obey. First, read His Word and obey His Word. Until you do that you can be certain that you will not hear the voice of God because God is speaking to us already through the Bible but we do not even read it. How then can we expect to hear from God?
Job 22:22
Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart.
I look really stupid in tis pic. but oh well, don't look if u don't like haha. taken at Disneyland, Hong Kong last year. Thanks for the shirt Lauren, love it. =)

You want me to eat THAT ?!?!
Do you know what gives me strength when I am weak? Do you know what gives me joy when I am sorrowful? Do you know what gives me assurance when I am worried? Do you know what gives me hope when all my hopes are gone? Do you know what I eat that makes me live?
Athletes have very strict diets and those who follow the diet will be strong and provides them the energy needed for their everyday routine. Sumo wrestlers have their own kind of diet in order to be able to stay in the wrestling ring. Body builders can not be vegetarians for they need solid food to help them build up the muscles and give them their physique. Everyone have their very special diet according to what their profession is. A man working at a construction site needs more food than one working in an office. Athletes eat more and have a stricter diet compared to a teenager attending college.
So we as Christians have our very own diet in order for us to be “alive” and stay “strong”. A Christian who does not follow the Christian diet will be considered “immature” for he is not growing spiritually. If a boy who is 17 years old but have a body and mind of a 10 year old surely he is considered abnormal. So is a Christian who has been coming to church for so many years but has not shown any growth.
WE NEED TO GROW.
I will share about other aspects of growth in my coming blog posts but today I want to bring your attention to the ONLY FOOD that can make you grow – the flawless Word of God, the Bible.
We as Christians need to “eat” the Bible everyday. It is like the food we consume each day to survive. If you do not eat food for 3 days you will be as weak as a vegetable, likewise if we do not eat spiritual food we will be a spiritual vegetable, which is of no good use.
One very easy way to ensure a steady growth is to read the Bible and “eat” it by memorization. It is not very hard to memorize Scripture verses, we can memorize a full page of lyrics but why can’t we memorize a verse or two from the Bible? It is not easy, all you have to do is to read a verse and repeat it in your head for at least 5 times. Then write it down on a piece of paper for 5 times without refereeing to the Bible. Then meditate upon it throughout the day.
To meditate is not to sit down cross-legged and say a chant or something, NO! That is NOT meditation. A Christian meditates by thinking of and reciting the verse over and over again in the head throughout the day. We have to ponder upon each word and see if it has a significant meaning to you, for God’s Word is RICH, you can never stop studying it.
TRY IT...
Now I tell you the importance. First, it sharpens your mind and allows you to hear the voice of God more clearly. For example: one day you got really angry with your friend and want to take revenge, then suddenly the verse Ephesians 4:26 comes into your mind which says, “In your anger do not sin.”. And so you decide to forgive him and not take revenge. That is how God speaks to us.
You want to hear from God and you pray and pray and pray but you still don’t hear? How silly of you! You are not even reading God’s written word and you say you can’t hear form God?!
Second, Scripture memorization builds you up spiritually:
Acts 20:32
Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up.
You think you are spiritually weak? Don’t just pray and ask God to give you a greater passion, but do also the memorization of God’s Word and the daily reading of the Bible. Only then you will be able to see yourself growing step by step. God’s Word can build you up.
I have found that Scripture memorization greatly benefited me. So far I have memorized a lot of memory verses, close to 200. Not to boast but to tell you that it can be done. I will share further on Scripture memorization in the coming posts. I can tell you a lot but you have to do it yourself to find that I am not lying. God’s Word has power to transform lives!
Above all I would rather you memorize 5 verses and live by it than to memorize 50 and live by none!
Strive to live by the Word of God. Do what God says in the Bible. Do not just read the Bible but eat the Bible and live the Bible.
Jeremiah 15:16
When Your words came, I ate them;
they were my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear Your name,
O Lord God Almighty.
Let us eat and live the Word,
