ARGH!!!

Yesterday after school I got home and a postman came and asked me sign a letter. I did so and guess what was it for?!!

NATIONAL SERVICE!!!

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am traumatized! Ish!!! So sad!!!

Well, I am supposed to go on the 17th June. But I have to differ it to next year as I am sitting for my SPM this year. If you are wondering why I am 18 but still in Form 5, this is why: When I was in Standard 3, I was studying at a Chinese school and since I hate Chinese and I couldn’t do well in it I went to Sri Lethia instead. And guess what? The principle of Sri Lethia demoted me from Standard 3 to Standard 2! Well, many years have since passed and I am glad I was demoted, because many things would not be the same if I remained in Standard 3. God’s ways are perfect.

Back to my lamentation over the National Service letter. I was really sad! I will be gone for THREE whole months! My concern is for the youth church and its leaders. But I am beginning to trust God that He knows what to do. I will miss all my friends and those who are close to me. No mobile phones to use from Monday to Friday… I will be dead =( out of civilization.

Oh well, since I am chosen to go for National Service. I will make the most out of it!

To Mr. National Service,

You forced me to go though you knew I didn’t want to. You will be taking three precious months away from me, my family, my friends and the youths in YE that I love so much. You will be taking my mobile phone away from every Monday to Friday and keep me out of civilization. You will bring me far from home and my precious bed. You will be separating my wife (my guitar) and I for three whole months. You will be taking a lot of things away from me for three months!

BUT!!!

I will go with the Truth in hand. I will be ever ready to give an answer to anyone who asks for the reason for the hope that I have in me. I will try my very best to fulfill the Great Commission at camp.

Be ready, Sir, for you have just brought in fire to camp…
