Before you go further, take note that this page will take QUITE AWHILE to load because I have just uploaded 272 pictures! Yup that’s right,
TWO-HUNDRED and SEVENTY-TWO PICTURES =)
Well have fun looking at the pics. I had a hard time editing them to make it smaller in size so that it uploads easy on my blog. So note that all these pictures have been reduced in size about 90%. For example, 2MB to 100KB. So it’s smaller. If you want the original size, email me at zlwin.jesusfreak@gmail.com Thanks.
Let me brief you a little on what happened on Saturday, 5th May. YE (Youth Energy) had an all-games day called LIFE DAY based on the youth church theme L.I.F.E. :
L - Leadership
I - Integration
F - Faithfulness
E - Evangelism
Larry and I organized this LIFE Day for the YE-ians to have fun as well as learn L.I.F.E.
We broke the YE-ians out into 4 groups and they were to come up with a name and group banner. The groups were:
Pone Dan (Pondan)
N-E Thing (Anything)
Orange Moon
Eye Lashes
Haha funny names =)
Then we had them challenge each other in numerous games. The games tested them physically, mentally and also spiritually. Um emotionally too hehe.
It was whole load of fun but the main thing was we achieved L.I.F.E.!!!
LEADERSHIP
During the games, they all cooperated with each other and played well. Before that, we did not assign anyone as leader over the group because everyone was a leader and they were given the chance to lead in different different games. For example, the Blindfold Game. An “artist” was to be blind-folded and then he/she was to draw a picture. So the group members were the leaders, each one was giving the “artist” directions on where to draw this and that. That’s leadership! All of us were leaders and are leaders still.
INTEGRATION
We were all from different races, skin color, height, we have different hobbies and interest, we were different in ages and also creed but yet everyone integrated with everyone. In each group there were mixture of different kinds of people, I remembered the Pone Dan’s group had an uncle about the age of 65-70 and he was also playing! Wow! And the group members did not reject him, instead they welcomed him and made him joined in too! That is integration!
FAITHFULNESS
Although some of the people were separated from their close friends or cliques, yet they remained in the respective groups they were put in. This shows their faithfulness to the group. They did not come to me half way through the event to ask for a change of groups or anything. They listened to their leader when he/she was giving orders. One incident I remembered was when N-E Thing group won one of the games because they listened to their leader that time, Jeremy Ng. They followed their leader’s instructions and did as told, this gave them the victory. That’s faithfulness!
EVANGELISM
Evangelism is when we share God’s love. The groups’ bondings with each other among their members were in itself a form of evangelism. They did not reject any members but accepted all of them. It is when people see God’s love through us then they know God is in us, and when people know God is in us, that’s evangelism. One incident was during the Balloon War Game. N-E Thing was fighting against Eye Lashes and poor Andrew was the only Eye Lash left and he had to face about 6 N-E Things, so all 6 attacked him and he lost. It was a tough and vigorous battle, but when he lost and N-E Thing won, Jonathan Kok from N-E Thing went to Andrew who fell on the floor and helped him up and shook his hand. What Jonathan did was showing God’s love to Andrew; by helping him up and shook his hand after the “battle”. That is evangelism!
There are lots more I can say but I shall stop here. Will continue again in any other relevant post. But you had to be there on Saturday to see everything. Those who weren’t there, YOU MISSED IT!!! =)
GOD BLESS ALL!!!
Enjoy the 272 pictures!
