Run If You Want, The Righteous Will Stay
In the book of Genesis we read of two infamous cities: Sodom and Gomorrah. The people in the cities were so sinful and corrupted. They practiced homosexuality; men had sex with men and women with women. Men from Sodom wanted to rape other men that stopped by their city. Their sins were so terrible that the people were ripened for destruction by divine judgment.
But...
There was a man named Abraham who stood in the gap for the two cities and pleaded with God not to destroy them. At first Abraham told God that if there are 50 righteous people in the city, do not destroy them. God said “For the sake of the fifty righteous people I will not destroy the cities.”
Abraham went on from 50 to 45 to 40 to 30 to 20 and finally 10. And each time God replied, “For the sake of the 45 righteous people I will not destroy the cities.” and so on to the number 10.
But there weren’t 10.
Sodom and Gomorrah continued in sin and prepared themselves for destruction. God destroyed the cities.
Now will we stand in the gap like Abraham and pray for our city? Pray for our state? Our country? Our nation? Will we?
Or we do not give a damn what happens to this nation Malaysia?
The rich will migrate to other countries with the money God has blessed them with. The rich will flee and leave this nation to go into destruction. The rich will run, they always do. If everyone runs and migrates to “better” places, then who is going to make a change in this country? You tell me.
For the past few months there has been a lot of chaos in this nation. Grace Assembly’s Senior Pastor, Pastor Henry, an apostle of God has prophesied of this. And from now till March 2008 there will be more chaos.
Who then will stand in the gap and pray for this nation like Abraham?
Who will run away?
You tell me.
Run if you want, the righteous will stay.
Psalm 2:8
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
