PRAISE GOD ! ! !
I am so happy! Why? Oh well, nothing much... I won the Interschool Debate competition against SMK High School yesterday and had a great time fellowshipping with SMK Andalas’ School Christian Fellowship this afternoon!
Okay this was what happened, two years ago me, Andy and Pakee were somehow chosen to represent school for the English debate, and we were in Form 3 that time. So well we entered as rookies in the world of debate and we were nervous, didn’t know what to expect. We practiced and practiced for so many days then we faced our first opponent which the school’s name I have forgotten. And we WON! We were surprised and our opponents were rather surprised too when they found out we were only Form 3 kiddos while they were all Form 5. What can I say? Praise God! And we beat two more other school so that adds up to three schools beaten. To our surprised and also to our school teachers’ surprise, we MADE SCHOOL HISTORY by entering the Semi-finals! Woo hoo! Praise God again! We faced a school names KISAS and well we lost, they were good. But we went back rejoicing cause we entered the Semis!
So last Tuesday my teacher suddenly just called me to the office for no reason and I thought that I was in trouble. Then she told me that I was in the debate team – without my consent! Argh! I told myself it was a nightmare came true because I had to coach these two new fresh rookies from Form 3! And both of them can’t really speak well. I was hoping to have Andy and Pakee together because they are rather good at debating and we could work well as a team but I have to work with two total strangers. I was not convinced that time but I just went on with it. I coached them and taught them how to speak, to use their words, to confuse the opponents by changing words, to answer question, to walk, to talk, to this and to that. Phew it was hard!
So we had our debate yesterday. I kind of lost confidence but I PRAYED nonetheless. I prayed that we would get the Government side and God answered my prayer! I prayed that God help my two rookie teammates to talk well, and He answered my prayer again! I did not pray to win, but I hoped we would win though... And God answered my unsprayed prayer! Praise God!
WE WON THE DEBATE!!!
How nice it is to taste the taste of victory. Moreover, I was nominated the Best Speaker haha. Praise God yet again! He was the one who gave me the words. “ ‘..Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.’ says the Lord” (Zechariah 4:6)
You know what was the essence of our winning? It was this –
I LOST ALL CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF
but
I HAD MY CONFIDENCE IN GOD...
Proverbs 3:26
For the Lord will be your CONFIDENCE...

This afternoon Andy and I were invited by Melanie Yong to join SMK Andalas’ Christian Fellowship gathering. We had a whole load of fun and games and fellowshipping there. Praise God.
Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – all the more as you see the Day approaching.

SO what am I trying to say here?
YOUR SCHOOL, YOUR MISSION FIELD...
Yes! That's right! God has placed each and everyone of you in different schools for a reason - to shine the light of CHRIST. Where you are, that's your mission field, that's where God wants you to spread the Gospel, that's where God WILL USE YOU.
That is where you be a TESTIMONY and WITNESS for JESUS.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

The girl with the ball is Andalas' ex-CF President, Melanie Yong. Gosh! She looks so funny in this pic haha. Beside her is Jaron Tan and Rachel.
This is the MOST WONDERFUL GAME I have played haha. We were seperated into two teams and drew a line on the ground and well, crush newspaper and throw at each other haha. The team with the most newspaper on their ground losses... =)
WORLD WAR THREE (Malaysian version)
(THANK GOD that no MPK people were around hehe. Oh we were at Taman Rakyat for your information =) )
You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. then the Father in heaven will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.
